Saundra was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has always been an artist at heart.  She attended LSU, married, and then decided to be true to her passion, which was art and makeup.  She enrolled in the Lockworks Cosmetology School and graduated in 1991.  At that point in her life, she decided to leave everything behind in search of a “fresh start.”  But what she didn’t leave behind was her love for hair and makeup. She took off for New York City in search of her dream…but always kept in touch with her friend, Sam Brocato.

After a few years on the East Coast, Saundra returned home to work with Brocato International. She worked with the Brocatos travelling and selling their products and became fascinated with doing alternative hair shows. “I was hooked – my first hair shows were in Chicago, Orlando and Miami and since then I’ve had an opportunity to do an international show in London,” says Saundra.  “It's the rebel in me, it’s my attraction to color, it’s just the artist in me that keeps my passion alive. I think every artist out there knows just what I feel!”

Saundra lives by the motto: “See yourself in all and all in you.”  It’s simple but beautiful and “beautiful” has become the center of her life.
“I want to help others.  I love to make people feel better about themselves – and time and time again – I’ve seen makeup transform a woman into a beautiful person.  When people feel good about themselves, they like themselves and they radiate confidence.”

Now Saundra is focusing on a new dream.  She will launch Spicy Girl Makeup in the Spring of 2010.  In conjunction with this exciting new makeup line, she will also be opening a makeup studio in Baton Rouge that will provide on-location makeup services to the film industry, makeup applications for all occasions, makeup education and facial waxing.

While it’s never easy to predict the future, Saundra would like to see Spicy Girl Makeup become an established line that women know, use and love.  “I want to grow with this company – it’s a journey I’m ready to begin.”

"See yourself in all and all in you."
